Qualifications and Exams


LAMDA has been supporting performing arts for over 150 years. And offers excellence, passion, talent, imagination and exceptional vocational training to talented individuals – enabling them to become outstanding actors, stage managers, technicians, directors, designers, musical directors and movement instructors, regardless of their background, educational qualifications or economic circumstances.

Through LAMDA examinations we provide pupils with a means to improve communication skills, reading, confidence, regardless of experience and ability. Classes are taught on a One to One basis as well as Musical Theatre in a group environment. We currently boast a 100% pass rate.

Trinity Guildhall offers an unrivalled choice of qualifications for students and teachers of drama and speech subjects, at all levels of experience and ability. The classes provide a structured framework designed to encourage performance and communication skills over time. And our solo and pair graded exams and diplomas are fully accredited in the UK and recognised internationally in many other countries. Exams can be taken by individuals, pairs or groups and  include Speech and Drama, Individual Acting Skills, Group Performance, Shakespeare, Choral Speaking and Communication Skills, Musical Theatre and Performance Arts.Candidates enjoy an entirely free choice of repertoire in all examinations, and we actively encourage you to explore the literature and drama of your own culture. The International Dance Teachers’ Association is one of the world’s largest examination boards, covering the full spectrum of dance examinations on a global scale, with over 7,000 members in 55 countries. The Association celebrated its centenary in 2003. Here at Centre Stage Academy we provide a structured one hour IDTA class with a fun element for girls and boys in Ballet and Tap. Classes are taught to exam standards. Our Thumbelina Ballerina class is set to teach girls and boys form the age of 3 to 6yrs. Our Thumbelina Ballerina uniform is a gorgeous pink tutu for the girls and black t-shirt and shorts for the boys.  

ABRSM the Association Board of the Royal School of Music.  With graded exams that are internationally recognized.

Our Singing classes are split between Group sessions or One to One Tuition and pupils can take solo Singing exams which consist of three accompanied songs at Grades 1–5 and four accompanied songs at Grades 6–8, chosen by the pupil from the appropriate lists in the current syllabus, an unaccompanied traditional song, sight singing and aural tests.
